City Link Communication: Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1 By creating an account, subscribing to our services, or engaging with City Link Communication, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.2 If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, please discontinue using our services immediately.

2. Service Initiation & Subscription Requirements

2.1 Subscription Form & Documentation

  • To initiate service, you must complete a subscription form or official agreement specified by City Link Communication.
  • When applying for a new connection, you must provide:
    • A copy of your National ID card (or equivalent legal identification)
    • One passport-size photograph (if required)
  • Original documents may be requested for verification.

2.2 Installation & Configuration

  • An authorized technician will perform all necessary installations and configurations by our prescribed standards to activate internet service.
  • Customers will be notified of the installation date. Service installation cannot proceed appropriately without this confirmation.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Accurate Information

  • You agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information when registering for or updating your account.

3.2 Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (username, password) and all activities carried out under your account.

3.3 Cooperation

  • If any technical or maintenance work (e.g., relocation of cables or equipment) is required, you agree to cooperate to enable the necessary tasks.

3.4 Proof of Payment

  • You must keep payment receipts and, if requested, present them to City Link Communication to settle any billing disputes.

4. Payments & Billing

4.1 Fees and Plans

  • All service fees must be paid according to your selected plan or package. Failure to pay fees on time may result in suspension or termination of service.

4.2 Billing Cycle

  • Monthly fees must be paid before the billing cycle ends. You may be given a grace period (e.g., 5 days) to clear bills before disconnection applies.

4.3 Payment Records

  • After paying the monthly fee, you must keep the receipt in case of disputes or verification needs.

5. Service Availability

5.1 Best-Effort Basis

  • City Link Communication strives to keep its services available and operational 24/7. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance.

5.2 Downtime or Outages

  • Your service may be temporarily disrupted due to planned maintenance or unforeseen technical faults. We aim to restore service within 3 (three) hours or more, depending on the issue’s complexity. City Link Communication will not be liable for any losses or inconveniences caused by service downtime beyond our reasonable control.

6. Prohibited Activities

6.1 You agree not to use our services for any illegal, abusive, or unauthorized purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Sending spam or unsolicited messages
  • Attempting to breach or undermine network security
  • Uploading or transmitting harmful or malicious code
  • Engaging in hacking, phishing, or other fraudulent activities

6.2 City Link Communication reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action (including service suspension or termination) if any misuse is detected.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 Indirect or Incidental Damages

  • City Link Communication will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services, including data loss, service interruptions, or unauthorized access to user data.

7.2 External Factors

  • We are not responsible for damage or loss to a subscriber’s devices or cables caused by accidents, natural disasters, or events outside our control.

7.3 Public Utility Work

  • If public utility work or road repairs require removing cables, City Link Communication is not liable for immediate reconnection if it is beyond our control.

8. Suspension & Termination

8.1 Breach of Agreement

  • City Link Communication reserves the right to suspend or terminate the service if a subscriber violates any part of these Terms and Conditions or engages in prohibited activities—even after repeated warnings.

8.2 Failure to Pay

  • Non-payment of dues within the specified timeline may result in service suspension or, ultimately, account termination.

8.3 No Liability on Termination

  • City Link Communication is not liable for data loss or other damages resulting from the suspension or termination of service.

9. Cancellation

9.1 Subscriber-Initiated Cancellation

  • If you wish to cancel your connection, you must officially notify City Link Communication (e.g., via customer support).
  • Cancellation is only processed once all pending bills have been settled.

9.2 Equipment Return

  • You must return any company-owned devices (e.g., switches, routers, ONU devices) in good condition upon request or when the service ends.

10. Equipment & Maintenance

10.1 Ownership

  • All customer-premises equipment (CPE) provided by City Link Communication remains our property unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to inspect, maintain, or replace these devices as needed.

10.2 Subscriber-Owned Devices

  • You are solely responsible for the setup, maintenance, and security of any devices you own (e.g., personal routers, computers) connected to our network.

11. Data Privacy & Confidentiality

11.1 Compliance with Law

  • We follow all applicable legal and regulatory requirements regarding data privacy.

11.2 Personal Information

  • Your data (e.g., name, contact details) is collected solely for account setup, billing, and service improvement. We protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

11.3 Disclosure

  • Any disclosure of personal data to third parties (e.g., law enforcement) is governed by applicable laws and City Link Communication’s privacy policies.

12. Modifications to Terms

12.1 City Link Communication reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at anytime. Notice of such changes will be posted on our website.

12.2 Continued use of our services after any changes implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
